A veteran coach of over 20 years, Coach Scott joined the Irvine Premier SC coaching staff in 2005. Coach Scott has many years of soccer experience as he began coaching his own kids over 20 years ago in the fall of 1988 for a local youth program. A true student of the game, Coach Scott has managed youth soccer programs at various age levels ranging from younger U8 players through the older U19s.
Aside from coaching club soccer, Coach Scott is deeply involved with high school soccer as the Varsity Head Coach and Director of the Beckman High School Boys program. Coach Scott’s club teams have represented Irvine Premier Soccer Club in National Cup each of the past five years. Coach grew up and attended school in Southern California where he competed in all of the major sports. After enlisting in the US Navy as a Seabee and serving his active duty, Coach returned to Southern California in 1982 to raise his family. A former Olympic distance triathlete, Coach Scott is the self employed owner of a small software development company and when he’s not on the field coaching soccer you can find him hiking and fishing the Eastern Sierras or on the pitch either scouting or recruiting for the his soccer program.
