B98: Nott’s Forest Cup 2009 Champions
Our last tournament of the summer before starting our regular season it was going to be a good test for the boys against really good competition.
Saturday afternoon we played Heat FC from Nevada and capture our first win of the tournament 4-1.
Sunday morning we were up against a very good FC Barcelona team and felt short 3-1 we had to regroup and needing a win to advance to the semi-final played another power house Arsenal FC after 60 minutes we came on top 1-0 and won our bracket.
On Monday morning we had to play against FC Barcelona a team that had beaten us the day before 3-1 after 60 minutes the score was 1-1 and had to go to penalty kicks finally after 4 of my players and two pk’s block by our goal keeper we won 4-2 and moving on to the final against Heat FC in the afternoon.
It was finally game time and the game started about 15 minutes in the game we were down 1-0 but tie the game on a goal from Christopher Miles and before the end of the first half we were up 2-1 on a free kick from Mario Paz.
The second half was back and forth but we were able to contain and after the save of the tournament by our keeper Sebastian Grassini we capture our third tournament in a row of the summer.
