The GU10 team successfully defended their title at the Anaheim Holiday Classic this weekend
The girls beat a tough Anaheim Soccer Club team 2-1(who is silver) in the semifinals, scoring the winning goal in the 24th minute of the 2nd half (we play 25 minute halfs).
The girls then beat a very tough Arsenal team 3-2 that had not surrendered a goal during the tournament in the final. The Arsenal team even went undefeated during league play outscoring their opponents 70-3.
It was a fun weekend with excellent soccer, sportsmanship and team bonding. The girls did a phenomenal job representing North Irvine Soccer Club.
